Short version: we don't need your data to let you roll dice, and we don't collect it unless you say so.

1. Who we are
This website, dice.now (the "Site"), is operated by Dice.now ("we", "us"), 3 San Lau Street, Hong Kong. We are the data controller for any personal data processed through the Site. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
2.1 Contact messages
If you use the contact form we store your name, email address, subject, message, IP address and browser type in our database. We use them only to reply to you and to block abuse, keep them for up to 12 months and then delete them.
2.2 Leaderboard scores
When you finish a game, your score and the optional nickname you typed are sent to our server and shown on that game's public leaderboard. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address for 30 days to limit abuse. Do not use your real name as a nickname if you prefer not to be identified.
2.3 First-party usage statistics
Our server records which pages are viewed and which games are started and finished (win or loss). These events contain no cookies, no identifiers and no IP addresses, and cannot be linked to you.
2.4 Data stored on your device
Your best scores, your leaderboard nickname and your cookie choice are stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
2.5 Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

We set no advertising or third-party analytics cookies, which is why the Site shows no cookie banner. Our usage statistics are collected server-side without cookies or identifiers.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for server logs, abuse prevention, leaderboards, cookie-less usage statistics and responding to messages you send us.
5. Third parties
Fonts are served from our own server. We do not use third-party analytics, do not sell personal data and show no advertising.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (including a leaderboard entry), object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
The Site is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
