How to Play Zombie Dice

Zombie Dice is a thrilling push-your-luck game where you play as a zombie hunting for brains! Roll dice to collect brains, but watch out for shotgun blasts that could end your feast. The first zombie to eat 13 brains wins! This game shares the push-your-luck mechanics of Farkle and Pig, but with themed dice and unique risk management. 🧟 Game Objective

Be the first zombie to eat 13 brains! Each turn, you'll roll dice to hunt for brains, but if you get too greedy and accumulate 3 shotgun blasts in a single turn, you'll lose all the brains you collected that turn.

🎮 How to Play

1. Draw 3 Dice: Randomly draw 3 dice from the cup (mix of green, yellow, red).
2. Roll: Roll all 3 dice and check the results.
3. Sort Results:
  • 🧠 Brains: Set aside - these are points!
  • 💥 Shotguns: Set aside - these are dangerous!
  • 👣 Footsteps: Put back in cup to re-roll
4. Decision Time: Stop and score your brains, or keep rolling for more?
5. Continue or Stop: If you have fewer than 3 shotguns, you can draw more dice (including footstep dice) to make 3 total and roll again.

⚠️ Important Rules

Shotgun Limit: If you accumulate 3 shotgun blasts in a single turn, you lose ALL brains collected that turn and your turn ends immediately.
Footstep Dice: Dice showing footsteps go back into the cup and can be re-rolled on subsequent rolls within the same turn.
Minimum Roll: You must always roll exactly 3 dice. If you don't have enough footstep dice, draw randomly from the cup.
Turn End: Your turn ends when you either choose to stop and score your brains, or when you get 3 shotgun blasts.

🧠 Strategy Tips

Risk vs. Reward: The more you roll, the more brains you can get, but also the higher chance of getting shotgunned. This is the same core decision as Pig (avoiding 1s) or Farkle (avoiding no-score rolls).
Dice Color Awareness: Pay attention to what color dice you're rolling. Red dice are much more dangerous than green ones. This risk assessment is similar to evaluating betting odds in Craps or choosing categories in Yahtzee.
Know When to Stop: If you have 2 shotguns already, consider stopping unless you really need the points. This conservative strategy also applies to Farkle when you're close to losing your turn.
Endgame Strategy: When you're close to 13 brains, take more risks. When opponents are close, play more conservatively. Similar endgame decisions appear in King of Tokyo and competitive games like Liar's Dice.
